A Novel Method to Simultaneously Measure Leaf Gas Exchange and Water Content

چکیده

Understanding the relationship between plant water status and productivity mortality is required to effectively quantify predict effects of drought on plants. Plant closely linked leaf content that may be estimated using remote sensing technologies. Here, we used an inexpensive miniature hyperspectral spectrometer in 1550–1950 nm wavelength domain measure changes silver birch (Betula pendula Roth) combined with gas exchange measurements at a sub-minute time resolution, under increasing vapor pressure deficit, CO2 concentrations, light intensity within measurement cuvette; also developed novel methodology for calibrating reflectance individual leaves. Based 1550 nm, linear regression modeling explained 98–99% variation content, root mean square error 0.31–0.43 g cm−2. The prediction accuracy model represents c. ten-fold improvement compared previous studies have destructive sampling several This allows study interlinkages transpiration, assimilation high resolution will increase understanding movement plants atmosphere.

Leaf Abscisic Acid Accumulation in Response To Substrate Water Content: Linking Leaf Gas Exchange Regulation with Leaf Abscisic Acid Concentration

Quantitative differences in leaf abscisic acid (ABAL) among four cultivars of red maple (Acer rubrum L.) and one freeman maple (Acer ×freemanii E. Murray) cultivar were investigated. This study tested the hypothesis that ABAL concentration can be used to compare the effects of water stress on the gas exchange response of fi ve different maple genotypes, including four red maple cultivars [‘Summ...

Gas exchange, photochemical efficiency, and leaf water potentials

Gas exchange, photochemical efficiency, and leaf water potential (Ψl) of Salix matsudana (non-indigenous species), S. microstachya and S. gordejevii (indigenous species) were studied in Hunshandak Sandland, China. Ψl of all the three species decreased from 06:00 to 12:00, and increased afterwards. S. matsudana showed higher values of Ψl than others. Net photosynthetic rate (PN) and stomatal con...

Responses to flooding of plant water relations and leaf gas exchange in tropical tolerant trees of a black-water wetland

This review summarizes the research on physiological responses to flooding of trees in the seasonal black-water wetland of the Mapire River in Venezuela. Inter-annual variability was found during 8 years of sampling, in spite of which a general picture emerged of increased stomatal conductance (gs) and photosynthetic rate (PN) during the flooded period to values as high as or higher than in pla...

Maize response to water, salinity and nitrogen levels: physiological growth parameters and gas exchange

A split-split-plot design with three replications in two years of 2009 and 2010 was conducted to investigate the effect of different levels of irrigation water (main plot), salinity of irrigation water (sub-plot) and nitrogen fertilizer rate (sub-subplot) on maize growth rate and gas exchange. Irrigation treatments were I1 (1.0 crop evapotranspiration (ETc)+0.25ETc as leaching), I2 (0.75I1)...
